My Experience with Myspace

Myspace is a way to connect friends and family and that is exactly what this website is made to do. But it also connects people with enemies and people that are only looking for trouble. Myspace does not warn you about the risks of exposing yourself to the whole world. Myspacers (people) are becoming extremely comfortable using Myspace and are exposing a lot of personal information for others too see. People are posting bulletins of what they are doing or were they will ne at a specific time. This makes it easy for online predators to find their victims and harass them. Sure MySpace can be fun but only if people don’t take it as serious and actually put their real information on the site. There are many people I know including myself that put a lot of fake information or just leave certain questions blank in our MySpace for the same purpose that I don’t really want people knowing my business. I just have MySpace as a joke really because I am not trying to find new friends online I am just trying to communicate with the friends I already have. My usage of Myspace is just to mess around with friends and to keep in touch with them. People just really need to stop taking this site so seriously and go out and meet people instead of trying to meet people online.
